Position Overview

Full and part-time, limited term positions available.
Provide oral health services, including but not limited to the following: oral assessment, review of dental and health history, placement of dental sealants, dental prophylaxis, fluoride application, and oral health education, in a school based sealant program.
Responsible for data collection and entry into the program’s electronic database.
Provide selected oral health services to children in a school-based setting.
Coordinate treatment dates with elementary school personnel.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Provide oral health services, including but not limited to the following: oral assessment, review of dental and health history, placement of dental sealants, dental prophylaxis, fluoride application, and oral health education in a school based sealant program.
2. Manage set-up and relocation of dental equipment and supplies at various treatment sites.
3. Coordinate/perform data collection and data entry tasks related to the sealant program.
4. Complete the paperwork for billing Wisconsin Medicaid for the services provided.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must have a degree from an accredited Dental Hygiene Program and hold a valid License to practice from the State of Wisconsin. The ability to communication professionally with a diverse patient population is also required.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Prior experience in conducting school based sealant programs Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software. (Email, Word, Excel, Power Point). Experience working in public health and working with multicultural populations preferred.
