Position Overview

Work under the general supervision of the Director of Research on research projects performing standard laboratory procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

Carry out research, collect and analyze data, maintain accurate and timely record of test results; participate in meetings with the Director of Research.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or high school education (some college preferred) with 1-2 years of related lab experience. Must be willing to work flexible hours as necessary. Successful candidate will be expected to exhibit individual initiative, work independently; be technically proficient and accurate; effectively communicate in both written reports and presentations; initiate and ensure compliance with applicable safety procedures; and possess attention to detail.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Seek applicant with skills/experience in one or more of the following:
1- Microfluidic methods
2- Hydrogels handling for oral and dental applications and use of new hydrogels
3- Extraction and isolation of cells form human and animal tissues (pulp stem cell, PDL stem cells, osteoblast, keratinocytes, oral fibroblast and mesenchymal stem cells)
4- Cytotoxicity, proliferation, migration of cells in tissue engineered constructs.
5- Sustained release of drugs (drug delivery)
6- Applying different assays (histological, Apoptosis, etc.) on tissue/scaffold constructs
7- Techniques of molecular biology including PCR, real-time PCR, cloning, Electrophoretic separation of proteins and western blotting, and ELISA
8- Dynamic cell culturing
9- Gene expression
10- Stem cell biology, differentiation, expansion and relevant technology for stem cell growth
11- Immunocytochemistry and immunohistochemistry
12- In vivo examinations and animal handing
13- Microbiology
14-Extraction of collagen
15-Designing/working with Bioreactors
